Ferrate is a green water treatment agent with high oxidation, and its effective component is hexavalent ferrate. After the reaction, the reduction product is ferric hydroxide, which is colloidal in the solution and can gather the suspended matter in the water to form a precipitate without residual toxicity. Hexavalent iron is a strong oxidant, ferrate has higher oxidation than ozone, and can achieve more than 90% COD removal rate by less dosage. Ferrate is used to oxidize COD in wastewater, and it shows the strongest oxidizability through its 2.2V oxidation performance.
